Hotel Lake Palace, UdaipurThe Stunning Lake Palace Hotel in Udaipur on the Serene Lake Pichola Is Udaipur’s Most Captivating Sight.


Built in 1754 by Maharana Jagat Singh II, Lake Palace or Jag Niwas lies on an island located right in the middle of Lake Pichola and was the summer residence of the Maharajas of Mewar. The palace was built on a natural foundation of rock and was called Jagniwas after its founder Maharana Jagat Singh. Today it has been transformed into a luxury hotel.


If you stay at the Lake Palace Heritage Hotel, you will get a chance to enjoy the privileges of royalty. You can arrive by boat and spend a memorable holiday in this luxury hotel constructed with beautiful marble. The hotel has a total of 85 rooms including 13 suites and 53 deluxe rooms. Then there is a restaurant, a coffee shop besides many jewelry and souvenir shops. The chefs in this hotel cook up the most exotic and mouth-watering dishes.


Jharokha is a 24 hour coffee shop in the hotel while Amrit Sagar is a bar, done up with intricate glass mosaic work. The restaurant Neel Kamal serves delectable cuisine. The hotel has a swimming pool, travel desk, shopping arcade and many other facilities. It also has meeting rooms and banquet facilities.


The rooms in the Palace are all tastefully decorated. There are apartments like the Bada Mahal, Kush Mahal, Ajjan Niwas, Phool Mahal and Dhola Mahal. The lake-facing rooms offer stunning views.
